Prof. Dr. George J Kahaly recommends the Autoimmunity Congress to endocrinologists.
"The upcoming International Congress on Autoimmunity, April 6-10, 2016 in Leipzig, Germany happens to be most interesting for endocrinologists, both basic scientists and clinicians, offering in terms of lectures by leading authorities in the field of endocrine autoimmunity the latest research finding and technologies. In detail, this highly recommended scientific venue promises to offer new insights in the pathogenesis of prevalent autoimmune endocrine disorders i.e. autoimmune thyroid diseases and type 1 diabetes mellitus. Challenging topics like gene mapping and novel drug targets in thyroid autoimmunity by Professor Yaron Tomer, Mount Sinai, New York City, and novel data on how some TSH receptor antibodies dictate thyroid cell death and their implications for autoimmunity will be discussed. Furthermore, surprising new findings and paradigm shifts pertaining to the pathology of human type 1 and 2 diabetes will be presented by Professor Matthias von Herrath, USA, a key opinion leader in diabetes mellitus."
